The next day was foggy and rainy but we were ready to make a go of it! I can't even list all the things we did but we managed to cram in every last "favorite" we could think of in 12 hours!
Molly has discovered sour dough at Boudin's! (And did you know they could put soup in it?! 😉)
Dinner at Scomas... Fresh fish, not cheap! We made them finish and Maeve got the biggest bowl of chowder you have ever seen! (Ghiradellis is in the background!)
The next morning, we were demanded to return to Boudin's for soup in a bread bowl! (Once again, Maeve got a huge bread bowl of soup. I can figure out how she is getting all this down!)
We found the Sea Lions on Pier 39! Tons! (Ask Maeve what they sounded like!)
Molly was an assistant in a magic show with a guy who swallowed swords!
We just had to take a fishing boat out to the bridge and Alcatraz, which according to Ray was named after Alan Catraz.
Next... Free samples at Ghiradellis! And we went into every door with a new attendant! (Molly also got a unicorn hat... Most of her pictures from now on most of her pictures will have this unicorn in them!)
Dinner was good from the stands at the warf.. Maeve got he biggest plate of calamari there ever was! She's going to get sick before the end of this trip! Molly the unicorn saved us all from the sea gulls... They were vicious!
Across from the stands was a quarter arcade museum! The kids played games for an hour! They had a blast with the animated puppets and feats of strength!
Molly claimed to be the first unicorn to ride a horse!Maeve ran into Michael Phelps! (Sort of...)
Took the kids down Lombard Street... Those streets are so steep and scary but they loved it!!
Headed over to the Painted Lady Houses and discovered that the Full House house wasn't there. Once we found it, it was a little dark but the girls fulfilled their "childhood dream" according to Maeve.
By the time we got to the Golden Gate Bridge, it was pitch black outside but we couldn't leave until we got to drive over the big bridge! I may like it better at night!
We stayed at San Francisco RV resort that had a spot for us right on the ocean. When we woke up, this was the view we had... The place was like a big parking lot but had the best scenery that I have ever seen! Including Maeve and I, eating again... Breakfast on the Pacific Ocean!
After 6 loads of laundry and one last shower, we headed out to Hwy 1 to end at Carmel. We didn't get going until 1130 so we are hightailing it but can't wait to watch the surfers and the waves!
